RELEVANT Work Experience and Training:
In addition to providing individual therapy, I facilitate Pathways: A Support Group for Postpartum Moms and present regularly on “Postpartum Expectations and the Realities of New Parents” as part of MarinHealth’s Pregnancy and Childbirth programs and services. Past positions include serving as a clinical supervisor for counseling interns at Dominican University of California - Counseling Services, and working as a staff psychologist at Sonoma State University - Counseling and Psychological Services, where I provided individual, couples, and group therapy to undergraduate and graduate students and supervised psychology interns. My clinical training includes work in university counseling centers, community mental health agencies (one general and one serving the LGBTQ community), a career counseling clinic, and an adolescent residential treatment center.
In addition to training derived through my graduate and work experiences as well as formal training programs, I have sought out focused training in:
mindfulness-based approaches for stress reduction and infertility
the treatment of prenatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (e.g., perinatal depression/anxiety/PTSD/OCD)
helping people heal from perinatal loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, the death of an infant)
